How do I get text into Read Forge?

Four ways: type or paste into the text panel, import a file (TXT, PDF, EPUB, or non-DRM MOBI) with the Import button, highlight text in any app and choose Share → Copy to Read Forge, or share a whole article page from your browser the same way — Read Forge downloads the page and extracts the readable text.

I shared an article and the text came out wrong or empty

Some pages render their content with JavaScript or sit behind a paywall, which a simple download can’t see. For those pages, highlight the article text in your browser and share the selection instead.

“Copy to Read Forge” doesn’t appear in my share sheet

Open Read Forge once after installing, then try again. If it still doesn’t show, scroll to the end of the share sheet’s app row, tap More, and enable Read Forge. Note it only appears when the shared item is text or a web link.

Where are my imported books stored?

Entirely on your device. Imported documents appear in the Library panel, and Read Forge remembers your reading position in each one. Deleting the app deletes the library.

What do the reading modes mean?

Focus shows one word at a time in place — fastest, with an optional red anchor letter to hold your eye still. Overview shows a full block of text and highlights the current word as it moves, like following a finger across a page.

Can I read DRM-protected books from a store?

No. DRM-protected files (and Kindle formats like AZW/KFX) cannot be opened. EPUB and MOBI files without DRM work fine.
