Read Forge - Privacy

~/apps/read-forge-privacy

Read Forge is built to read text, not to collect it. The short version: Read Forge collects no data about you. None leaves your device to me or to anyone else.

Data collection

Read Forge has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data.

Your reading content

Text you paste, files you import, and articles you share into Read Forge are stored only on your device. Your library and reading positions never leave it. Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

Sharing text and articles into Read Forge

When you use Copy to Read Forge from the share sheet, the shared text or link is passed directly from the share extension to the app through private, on-device storage that only Read Forge can access.

Fetching articles

When you share a web link, Read Forge downloads that page directly from the website to your device to extract its text — the same way a browser would. That request goes only to the website you chose; no intermediary server is involved, and Read Forge keeps no record of the sites you read. The websites you visit may log the request per their own privacy policies, as they would for any visit.

Children

Read Forge does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
